Maranatha Baptist Church was organized in the living room of Mr. & Mrs. John H. Parker on July 6, 1975. Mr. John "Johnny" Parker agreed to be the interim pastor while the church sought a pastor.
On August 10, 1975 the church moved to the Homemakers Club building on DeKalb street. Mr. Roman Alvarez held the first revival at this location. Maranatha remained at this location until April 15, 1979 when it moved to the present location on Leon Road.
God has truely blessed Maranatha through the years with many blessings. The warm friendly people that God has sent to make up the church family is truly one of our biggest blessings.
As we start another page in the history of Maranatha we would like to invite you to come and be apart of what God is doing in and through the church family of Maranatha.
